Kerry Ganofsky: Both! Who doesn’t love Clash of the Titans However that movie wasn’t our only source of inspiration. We actually have a large number of history buffs around the office and when you study history you can’t help but learn about the mythos behind it. This passion for the subject along with the feedback we received from fans at E3 last year really focused us in our current direction.

EN: When we started out, we had a general setting of ancient Rome so that naturally let us to looking at Roman myth for starters. We definitely took cues from The Clash of the Titans when developing our ‘Bronzeman’ character. Bubo the mechanical owl is the best! So yes, basically anything over-the-top and cool we considered as a source of inspiration.

GP:What's the story behind the game Or is it a straight up fighting game with minimal story elements

EN: There is an overarching storyline where Jupiter, the king of the gods, has gone missing. Thanatos, the god of death, is the only god left – and a rag-tag group of fighters vie for his power. Each of the characters has a unique intro story as well as a unique ending. We really made a conscious effort to bring life to each character and I hope everyone playing falls in love with these characters.
