It was confirmed today that publisher Electronic Arts will be retiring online service for several big-name titles for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC, and PSP, with service shutting down in March and April.
The games in question reportedly represent less than 0.3% of peak online players across the publisher's massive catalog. Electronic Arts will be retiring these older titles in hopes of shifting their focus to the 99.7% of consumers playing the publisher's more popular titles.
According to the official EA site, the games that are being retired are:
March 16, 2010 Online Service Shutdown
Def Jam for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
Godfather for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
