Copy data virtualisation company, Actifio, has named Patrick O’Donnell as its Asia-Pacific vice-president and general manager.

Headquartered in Sydney, O’Donnell will be in charge of Actifio’s regional team, supporting existing customers and strong market demand for its solutions and services within the region that stretched from Singapore to New Zealand.

O’Donnell has been with Actifio for three years, most recently leading sales operations for the region as part of the global sales leadership team. In this role, he was responsible for pricing, packaging, and contracts for enterprise customers across Europe and Asia, and service provider customers globally.

Actifio president, Jim Sullivan, said in this new role, O’Donnell will focus on taking the company’s business across the region and to the next level. “Patrick’s strong links with the corporate team and talent for aligning our interests with those of our customers will continue the upward march of this highly virtualised and critically important part of the world,” he said.

O’Donnell added that he’s thrilled to be playing a role in the continued growth of its Asia-Pacific business, and to be building a life in Sydney. “I’m confident I can bring something new and creative to our great team across the region, and very much looking forward to working closely with customers to maximize the business value they’re getting from Actifio.” O’Donnell has more than 10 years’ experience in business modelling, financial planning, and international sales.

Prior to joining Actifio, O’Donnell served in a variety of finance roles at EMC Corporation between 2006 and 2012. He joined Actifio as the manager of financial planning in 2012, and was subsequently promoted to international sales controller in 2014. Read More:
