Android device updates: Nexus July updates roll out, AT&T Galaxy S6 Active getting Marshmallow
But now we’re all back to work, and so is Google’s security team. The monthly Android security updates are out, heading first to Nexus devices. A number of other phones got some key updates this week, so read on to find out if you’re one of the lucky ones.

July security update: Another month means another security update. There are two critical issues, 11 high severity issues, and nine moderate patches in this latest round of updates. You can grab the factory images or OTA ZIPs for the fully line of supported Nexus devices, which also includes the Pixel C. Once these hit Nexus phones you should begin to see updates for others, so stay tuned.
Galaxy S6 Active: Well, at least Marshmallow finally landed before the launch of Android Nougat. The AT&T update also includes Wi-Fi calling, so you might be able to make and receive calls even if your cell signal isn’t strong but you’re on a wireless network. The GS6 Active joins the LG G4 with this capability, which should start to hit other Android phones soon.
OnePlus 3: OxygenOS 3.2.1 is rolling out now, which promises a large number of fixes. According to OnePlus, this includes what you were supposed to get in 3.2.0, which was halted earlier this week. The update brings notification issues, RAM management, GPS performance, and several other bugs.
