User opens a support ticket that just says Printer is not printing anything, it just stopped, reports the IT pilot fish who gets the assignment.

"I got onto the server he was using and checked the printer out," fish says. "Everything looked fine, but the jobs were stuck in the queue.

"I checked the queue. The printer was rejecting jobs.

"I web-browsed to the printer to check its management page. Under Device Status, the message read:

Output bin is full Remove all paper from bin

"The output bin holds at least half a ream of paper.

"When I called to ask the user to check the printer and unload the paper from the bin, I was told he was in a meeting and would get back to me.

"And of course later the user did -- he sent an email asking about the status of the printer..."
