Microsoft buys Surface Pro 3 stylus technology

05.05.2015
Due to a reporting error, the story "Microsoft buys company that made stylus for Surface Pro 3," posted to the wire on Friday, misrepresented the nature of Microsoft's acquisition. Microsoft bought the stylus and display interface from N-Trig, and not all assets.

Changes have been made to the headline and top two paragraphs of the story. The first and second paragraphs now read:

Microsoft has bought the stylus and display interface technology for the Surface Pro 3 from the company that made it.

Microsoft on Friday confirmed it bought the technology from Israel-based N-Trig. According to media reports, Microsoft bought the technology for US$30 million.
