New Opera Mini 11 'high mode' eases up on compression to show you more content

08.09.2015
Opera Mini is giving you some more choice in how blazing fast you want to browse the web.

While the browser still compresses web content on its own servers in order to save you time and data, you can now choose from two different speed lanes: High or Extreme.

With the latter, you will see fewer details on a webpage but get it quicker than if you go for High compression. Sometimes Opera may cut out images or other details that you may actually want to see.

Opera Mini 11 is rolling out now in the Play Store. You can also get the latest version from APK Mirror.

The story behind the story: Opera Mini is a great browser if you want to rack up less data usage on your monthly plan. That’s because Opera compresses web content on its own servers, delivering you a lighter load. Chrome does some of this, but nowhere near as aggressively as Opera. With the new update, you now can opt for more detail over blazing speed.
