Tinder grants do-overs, transatlantic swiping with paid version

The article "Tinder grants do-overs, transatlantic swiping with paid version," posted on Monday, mischaracterized the cost of Tinder's new paid version.

The fourth paragraph has been changed on the wire and now reads:

The cost of upgrading will vary depending on the person's age and location. People under 30 in the U.S. will pay US$9.99 per month, while those 30 and older will pay $19.99 per month. Globally, the two most common prices for Tinder Plus are $9.99 per month in developed countries and $2.99 per month in emerging markets, a Tinder spokeswoman said.

A new fifth and sixth paragraph have been added and read:

"Lots of products offer differentiated price tiers by age, like Spotify does for students," she said.

During testing, Tinder found that younger users are just as excited about the paid version, but are more budget constrained, she said.

In addition, a missing verb has been added to the first paragraph.
