Twitter for Mac update introduces Moments, GIF search, and olls

04.05.2016
After years of neglect, Twitter is bringing more mobile feature to its recently revamped Mac app.

On Wednesday, Twitter updated the Twitter for Mac app to include Moments, a curated feed of trending tweets that was first introduced on the Twitter mobile apps and on the web back in October. The updated Twitter for Mac app also brings support for GIF searches and embeds, as well as for adding polls to your tweets.

Twitter’s mobile app made it easier than ever for users to find the right GIF to accompany their tweets by introducing a built-in GIF search engine in February. Twitter Polls were first announced during the company’s Flight developers conference in October and were rolled out soon after.

Twitter for Mac version 4.1.0 is available now on the Mac App Store. The release notes read as follows:

Twitter first revamped its Mac app back in December, adding support for inline images, video and GIFs, as well as group messaging, a Notification Center widget, and a “dark mode” color scheme.
