Fortinet unveils its Cyber Threat Assessment Program

07.03.2016
Cyber-security solutions company, Fortinet, has launched the free of charge Cyber Threat Assessment Program (CTAP).

The program is designed to give organisations detailed insights on the type and amount of threats posing risks to networks that may go undetected by the companies existing security solutions.

In collaboration with key partners, Fortinet is offering the program free of charge and the next-generation firewall can be installed within the customer's network where it will monitor the application traffic.

A risk assessment report will then be generated using FortiAnalyzer that will give the customer an analysis of the traffic, user productivity, network utilisation, overall security risk and related business risk.

The company said it will also supply actionable mitigation recommendations.

Fortinet network and security specialist A/NZ, Jack Chan, said, “If any A/NZ businesses have any doubts about the effectiveness of their current cyber-security programme, Fortinet’s CTAP will give them hard metrics on how well their defences are doing their job.

"These statistics will give A/NZ enterprises a benchmark on their cyber-security profile and help them identify any shortcomings. It’s a non-obligated exercise and can give organisations the data they need to make more informed decisions on protecting their networks.”
