HPE introduces Haven OnDemand

15.03.2016
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has introduced Haven OnDemand.

The Cloud platform is delivered as a service on Microsoft Azure and provides more than 60 APIs and services that deliver deep learning analytics across text, audio, image, social, web and video.

It was designed to help developers, startups and enterprises build data-rich mobile and enterprise applications.

HPE director of HPE big data platform for South Pacific, Tony Nottle, said Haven OnDemand democratises Big Data by offering the power of machine learning, traditionally reserved for data scientists, to the mainstream developer community.

He said, “Now anyone can leverage our Cloud-based service to harness the rich variety of data available today to build applications that produce new insights, differentiate businesses and deliver a competitive advantage.”

Microsoft general manager of partner and channel marketing for Cloud and enterprise, Garth Fort, said, “Leveraging the high performance and scalability of Azure, HPE Haven OnDemand brings our mutual customers a compelling solution to help turn their data into value.”

Some of the platforms capabilities include advanced text analysis, format conversion, image recognition and face detection, knowledge graph analysis, predictions and recommendations and speech recognition.

The vendor offers the platform as a ‘freemium service’, enabling development and testing for free before extending to a usage and SLA-based commercial pricing model for enterprise class delivery to support production deployments.
