Jelastic comes to Australia

U.S.-based cloud services provider, Jelastic has entered into the Australian market through a partnership with Perth-based hosting provider, Fast.hit.

Jelastic combines unlimited platform-as-a-service (PaaS) and container-based infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) into one solution.

Fast.hit managing director, Chris Bauer, said it considered a number of management tools for its cloud hosting product line.

"With Jelastic, Fast.hit is able to bring cloud servers to mainstream users in Australia," Bauer said.

Fast.hit offers managed hosting, network outsourcing, cloud servers and data center space. Its network infrastructure is hosted in data centres based in Perth and Sydney.

Jelastic CEO and co-founder, Ruslan Synytsky, said it was witnessing tremendous traction in Australia.

"Our alliance with Fast.hit further validates Jelastic's ongoing commitment to deliver a superior container-based PaaS and IaaS in high growth technology regions such as Australia and Asia Pacific," Synytsky said.

Jelastic's technology is deployed by more than 150,000 developers and more than 50 private and public cloud providers globally. It supports programming languages such as Java, PHP, Ruby, Node.js, Python and .NET and provides maximum application density, fast deployment and management for private, public and hybrid clouds, and users can customise infrastructure and application configurations.
