Sony's latest Bravia TV - the HX803 - will display 3D content

The TV manufacturer said some of its 3D products will come bundled with two pairs of the glasses, which cost around £100 if purchased separately.

Sony did not reveal pricing for the 3D TV sets.

The company has also revealed it will releases a firmware update for the Playstation 3 that will ensure the console is compatible with 3D games the company is working on.

The announcement comes just weeks after Sony revealed it will be filming 25 matches of the Fifa World Cup in 3D.

Sony will capture the action on its camera and then use its proprietory multi-image processor to render the feed in 3D.
