Hailo integrates API with Bookatable to ease restaurant taxi bookings

18.05.2015
Cab app Hailo has teamed up with Bookatable, Europe's restaurant marketplace, to enable restaurateurs to offer Hailo's on demand taxi service to diners.

Following an integration with Bookatable's cloud-based table reservation service, restaurants can now book one of Hailo's 15,000 strong fleet of London black cabs on behalf of restaurant goers at the push of a button.

The first phase of the integration will see Bookatable roll out the facility to their "top-tier" restaurants, with another 1,500 to go live by the end of the summer.

Jon Moore, chief product officer at Hailo, said: "Integrating our API with market-leading service providers like Bookatable helps to extend the great Hailo experience to a highly relevant audience in a context where getting a safe, fast and reliable journey home really matters."

Joe Steele, CEO at Bookatable, said: "We're always looking to make life easier for our restaurant staff and their customers, so our integration with Hailo allows us to offer a greater level of service, as well as provide simplicity for waiting staff."

Hailo, which is active in the UK, Ireland, Japan, Singapore and Spain, recently axed a number of its London technical team, which the firm said would help it focus on increasing its market share against the likes of larger rival Uber.
