Dropbox and Xero team up to increase productivity for small businesses

Cloud-based services company, Dropbox, and Cloud-based accounting software vendor, Xero, have inked a partnership that allows both companies to integrate their services for collaboration and better serve the small business market.

The two companies are teaming up to integrate their services for collaboration across Dropbox and Xero, which will include a number of workflow enhancements, such as allowing Xero users to access and share Dropbox files from within Xero.

In addition, new features will be revealed throughout the year, as well as a special joint offer for small businesses customers to help them simplify their accounting workflows.

According to Dropbox A/NZ managing director, Charlie Wood, the strategic partnership aims to help small businesses collaborate and manage their accounting processes.

"Business continuity, accounting and collaboration are at the core of any successful business. Cloud solutions from Dropbox and Xero provide an opportunity for rapidly growing businesses to accelerate and differentiate their services and offerings. Together, we'll be able to offer everything a small business needs to get up and running from day one," he said.

Xero Australia managing director, Chris Ridd, said its partnership with Dropbox is another big step in its efforts to demonstrate continuing innovation and support for small businesses.

"Combining our efforts with Dropbox will support us in becoming a smarter and even-better connected platform for small businesses," he added.
