MobileIron seeks to secure corporate data on personal clouds

04.02.2015
The story "MobileIron seeks to secure corporate data on personal clouds," posted on the wire Tuesday, contained an error. Content Security Service is new software and is not a component of Docs@Work.

The story has been corrected on the wire and paragraphs one, three and four have been changed. Paragraph one now reads:

When restrictive IT policies push employees to personal smartphone apps to share corporate data, the security of that information is at risk. On Wednesday, MobileIron will release its Content Security Service that seeks to plug that hole.

Paragraph three now reads:

MobileIron's Content Security Service is designed to make that kind of sharing secure rather than shutting it off.

Paragraph four now reads:

The software, which works with the company-installed MobileIron Docs@Work app on iOS and Android, encrypts data as it travels to personal accounts on certain cloud services, including DropBox and Box.
