This hand-drawn experimental techno music video is made from 2,000 drawings

While digital technology has revolutionised what you can do with animation, we're still suckers for a bit of old-school, hand-made animation.

This new music video from France featuring the music of techno artist Sloven features 2,000 individually drawn frames by illustrator Macka.

The video for RYTHM is largely abstract, with what narrative there is follows a figure indulging in rhythm-based activities from swinging on a rope to moving their hands in the ocean. Alongside this there's a lot of dance culture-related - ok, drug-related - imagery as the figure's mind is literally expanded.

The style is doodly - simple black-and-white linework with a few brief flashes of colour. But this is part of its charm.
