Android device updates: OnePlus 2 gets Marshmallow and Google pushes out security patches

OnePlus 2: This one sure took a while, but Marshmallow is finally on its way. OxygenOS 3.0.2 is based on the Android 6.0.1 source code, and it’s now available as an over-the-air update. Monthly security updates: It’s early June, so that means it’s time for the latest round of monthly security fixes. You can grab them from the Nexus factory images site if you have a Google-powered phone or tablet. These are available for the Pixel C and Nexus 6, 6P, 5x, 5, 7 (2013), and 9.
Platform distribution numbers: A new month also brings the latest fragmentation report. Marshmallow passed the 10 percent threshold, with Lollipop still holding a commanding 34 percent of marketshare. You can get the full report at the Android Developers Site and glance at the data below:
Moto 360: The second-gen watch and 360 Sport are getting several adjustments. According to Motorola, an update improves the Moto Body calorie calculation, heart rate measurement, brings the May security patches, and stability improvements.
Idol 3: Marshmallow finally coming for this unlocked phone. Alcatel took to Twitter to share the belated good news:
ZenFone Max: Asus has delivered another Marshmallow update, this time for the ZenFone Max. The update also removes Asus-built apps like email, calendar, and messaging, directing you to go with Google’s tools instead.
HTC Desire 626s: Yes, it’s Marshmallow time. HTC’s instructions can walk you through how to manually download it yourself if you want it right now, otherwise you should get pinged for an update soon.
