Warner Bros. offers full refunds for still-broken Batman: Arkham Knight PC

02.11.2015
I thought the whole Batman: Arkham Knight debacle was over, but the weekend brought with it a new twist: Refunds. Refunds for everyone (on Steam, at least) who wants one.

WB re-released the PC version last week and while I still thought it was sort-of broken, it at least ran well enough on my system to be playable. Others Not so lucky. Even after four months of ostensibly fixing the game, a whole bunch of people still had complaints—from the game not launching to the same ol’ stuttering issues we saw back in June. The Steam forums have been in uproar all week.

As a result, WB is now stepping up and offering refunds to anyone who bought the game and/or season pass through Steam, regardless of how long they’ve owned Arkham Knight or how much they’ve played it. Here are the details, as per WB’s official post:

Yes, this does technically mean you can beat the game and still get a refund. Yes, that’s sort of a scumbag move. No, I won’t tell on you.

WB does go on to promise continued patches for the game, but ends on this ominous note:

Emphasis on “the issues that we cannot fix.” That’s uh...that doesn’t sound good. We’ll keep you updated if we learn anything more.
