03.06.2015
HP and network security company, FireEye, have inked a global alliance in the incident response and advanced threat services space. As per the deal, this partnership makes incident response, compromise assessment and threat detection offerings available to HP enterprise services' clients globally.

The companies aim to develop an industry standard reference architecture that provides customers with a blueprint for advanced threat protection services and incident response capabilities.

Together, HP Enterprise Services and FireEye will jointly go to market with the Global Incident Response from HP and Mandiant and Advanced Compromise Assessment from HP and Mandiant offerings.

FireEye CEO and chairman of the board, Dave DeWalt, said the partnership with HP extends FireEye's growing influence in cyber security by offering the expertise of its Mandiant team, its threat intelligence resources, and the capabilities of FireEye as a Service, amongst other offerings.

"By partnering with HP to provide new advance threat defences, FireEye can deliver our combination of technology, intelligence and expertise to some of the largest organisations in the world," he mentioned.

HP Asia-Pacific and Japan enterprise security services general manager, David Fox, said HP is committed to addressing the evolving IT needs of customers, and this partnership with FireEye targets a critical priority -- protecting the customers' critical information assets from advanced cyber-attacks, and supports its strategy to be a provider of security services.

"This partnership strengthens HP's security portfolio spanning enterprise security products, security consulting and managed security services. Together with FireEye's technology, intelligence and expertise, we are enabling our clients to update their defences with the most advanced cyber security protection available today," he added.
